The EcoFlow PowerStream is an 800 W micro-inverter (24.2 x 16.9 x 3.3 cm, 3 kg, IP67) that connects to your solar panels on one side and your home grid on the other. Its unique feature: it can also charge an EcoFlow portable power station in parallel, specifically the DELTA 2 Max (2048 Wh, LFP, 3000 cycles).
The system works smartly: when you produce more than you consume, the surplus charges the DELTA 2 Max. When you consume more than you produce, the battery discharges through the PowerStream to compensate. The EcoFlow smart meter adjusts everything in real time.
The DELTA 2 Max is a 23 kg portable station with 2400 W AC output, making it also an excellent backup generator. It can be extended to 6 kWh with additional batteries. That's the dual nature of this system: daily solar self-consumption plus portable backup for outages or camping.
The limitations: the PowerStream can only inject 800 W into the grid, and solar input is also 800 W (2 x 400 W). That's enough for 2 balcony panels, no more. The DELTA 2 Max is an indoor device (no IP rating on the station), and the 3000 cycle life is lower than competitors. But the versatility of this combo is hard to beat.
