Bluetti
Bluetti's beast. 3840 Wh, 2600W continuous (5200W peak), 4 AC outlets, on wheels. 0 to 80% in 1h. 15 ms UPS. 39 kg of raw power built for long RV trips or extended home backup.
The Bluetti Elite 400 is the workhorse of the range. 3840 Wh capacity means a full 1 to 2 days of autonomy for an RV or a household during an outage. Fridge, router, lights, laptop, phone – all covered with room to spare.
2600W continuous output and 5200W peak. At this level, pretty much anything runs: microwave, space heater, power tools, portable washing machine. The 4 AC outlets in the EU version are a real advantage over other Elites limited to 2. With 7 total outputs (4 AC, 2 USB-C 100W, 1 cigarette lighter), you power multiple devices simultaneously without thinking twice.
Combined AC + solar charging at 3300W reaches 80% in just 1 hour. That's impressive for a nearly 4 kWh battery. Solar-only at 1000W input takes 6 hours – patience required, but that's the trade-off for such massive capacity.
39 kg. Let's be honest, it's a tank. But Bluetti included sturdy wheels and a built-in trolley handle – you wheel it like luggage, not carry it like a cinder block. Once installed in the RV or workshop, it stays put, and that's perfectly fine.
The 15 ms UPS ensures home backup: power cut, the switchover is near-instant. Router, NAS, alarm system – everything stays powered. The Bluetti app gives full control: real-time monitoring, remote wake-up, scheduling.
One thing to note: 3000 cycles. That's half the Elite 100 V2 and 200 V2 (6000 cycles). Still 8 years of daily use, but at this price point, you'd wish Bluetti had matched their standards.
For RV travellers who eat up miles, families wanting real home backup, or outdoor professionals, the Elite 400 is an energy fortress. On a single charge, you face a long sunless weekend without ever running dry.
