Jackery
Jackery bets on scalability: 1264 Wh base, expandable to 5 kWh with three extra batteries. 800W solar input to get the most from SolarSaga panels. Wall charge in 1h40.
The Explorer 1000 Plus marks Jackery's shift to LiFePO4, and it's a solid move. 1264 Wh, 2000W continuous output, and most importantly 800W solar input -- perfect for getting the most out of their SolarSaga panel range. With two 200W panels, expect around 4 hours to a full charge in peak summer.
The number one selling point is scalability. By adding up to three extra battery packs (sold separately), you can reach 5 kWh. For those whose needs evolve -- starting with camping trips, then expanding for a van or tiny house -- it's an investment that grows with you.
Build quality is a Jackery trademark. The plastics feel premium, the handles are comfortable despite the 14.5 kg weight, and the display is readable even in direct sunlight. The mobile app (WiFi and Bluetooth) lets you monitor consumption in real time and schedule charge cycles.
Two notable absences though. No UPS function, which rules it out as an emergency inverter for your router or NAS. And the price, while it has come down recently, remains higher than some Chinese competitors with similar specs.
For family camping, powering a mini-fridge over a long weekend, or recharging an e-bike on the road, it ticks every box. It's the station we recommend to those wanting a reliable, scalable solar ecosystem with Jackery's European after-sales support behind it.
