Jackery
Jackery's small LiFePO4 for light outings. 288 Wh, 300W, 3.75 kg. One 100W USB-C, one 230V outlet, built-in app. It doesn't do everything, but what it does, it does well.
The Explorer 300 Plus is the station you take everywhere without thinking. 3.75 kg, a compact format that slides into a backpack between the water bottle and the rain jacket. For a lakeside picnic, a day of garden remote work, or a tent weekend, it covers the essentials.
Output-wise, one 230V Schuko outlet at 300W (600W peak) powers a drone charger, an electric razor, or a small powered speaker. The 100W USB-C port recharges an ultrabook in under 2 hours. The secondary 15W USB-C and 15W USB-A handle smaller devices.
The Jackery app (WiFi + Bluetooth) is a genuine asset at this price range. You control the charging mode, monitor battery level, and enable silent mode -- which caps at 45 dB, quiet enough not to bother camping neighbours.
The snag is charging: 2 hours on mains for 288 Wh is slow compared to recent stations. On solar with a 100W panel, expect 4 hours in ideal conditions. The lack of UPS is also a shame -- it would be nice to plug it into a sensitive device.
It's the station you give to someone discovering portable power. Simple, reliable, lightweight, with UL 94V-0 flame-retardant materials for peace of mind. It won't replace a big station, but for small daily needs, it's spot-on.
